![]() ![]() The shieldbreaker acts before the crusader who is much slower, and attacks while advancing with her spear. As a bonus, the last two have a skill that eliminates stealth. The grave robber, the houndmaster, the highwayman and the shieldbreaker can also attack the necromancer on all ranks. ![]() The necromancer does not have a great resistance to blight (or bleeding), and the plague doctor is able to apply pressure at will. She's able to attack the boss in the front and in the back. The hellion is an excellent alternative to replace him at rank 1. ![]() If you bring him, it is better to let the skeletons live and instead position the crusader in the back, armed with his sacred lance. He's completely useless in the previous situation, placed at the front against stealthy skeletons. The crusader is a hero that I bring to the ruins very often and he seems perfect against the first iteration of this boss, the Necromancer Apprentice. You mentioned the Swine Prince, his later "forms" are the Swine King (Veteran) and the Swine God (Champion). This is a small guide to help you beat the necromancer apprentice, the necromancer and the necromancer lord in the ruins dungeon. All of this applies for both the main bosses in each area, and the optional bosses that appear once you kill the main boss at a given level. Their stats increase and their abilities hit harder/have nastier status effects/have a more likely chance to cause those status effects. The bosses get more difficult at higher tiers. ![]() They will appear eventually (generally requiring you to clear out the previous version of the boss/explore enough) and be there until you clear them, and there's no time limit in the base game so you can get to it whenever it suits you. Longer answer: there are versions of each boss at each of the three tiers: Apprentice, Veteran, Champion. As long as there are Apprentice adventurers available (a suggested early upgrade is getting the Stagecoach to provide at least 4 newbies every week), you will be able to do that adventure whenever you please. Short answer: the Apprentice version of the Swine Prince will always be available to kill as an Apprentice level mission (suitable for adventurers of resolve level 0-2). ![]()
